How we use cookies, analytics, and form data on this website. Last updated July 2026.
Rivisio Limited (Company No. 16793954), 62 Silverbirch Road, Hartlepool, TS26 0BD, United Kingdom. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, email us at contact@rivisio.com.
CookiesWe use the following cookies on this site.
consent-cookie: records whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Without it, we would have to ask every time you load a page. Retained for 6 months if you accept, 1 day if you reject.
__cf_bm and _cfuvid: short-lived security cookies set by Cloudflare, which protects HubSpot’s services (our contact forms, and HubSpot tracking if you accept analytics). They help tell genuine visitors from bots. __cf_bm lasts around 30 minutes; _cfuvid lasts for your browsing session.
session-id: a randomly generated ID that lets us tell visits apart without identifying you personally. Retained for 6 months. Only set if you accept analytics cookies.
HubSpot (__hstc, hubspotutk, __hssc, __hssrc): set by HubSpot, our CRM and marketing platform, to recognise your browser across visits. If you have given us your details through a form, HubSpot can link these visits to your contact record. Set only if you accept analytics cookies. The session cookies last around 30 minutes or until you close your browser; the others up to 6 months.
Hotjar, part of Contentsquare (_cs_id, _cs_s, _cs_c and related cookies): set by Hotjar, our behaviour-analytics provider, to recognise your browser across visits so it can build heatmaps and session replays. Set only if you accept analytics cookies. These range from your current browsing session up to around 12 months.
LinkedIn (UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory, bcookie, lidc, li_sugr, li_gc and related cookies): set by LinkedIn’s Insight Tag to measure our ads and build advertising audiences, so we can show you Rivisio ads on LinkedIn (retargeting). Set only if you accept analytics cookies. These last from around a day up to about a year.
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_YX5WHR6T2E): set by Google Analytics to tell visitors apart and measure how the site is used. Set only if you accept analytics cookies. These last up to 2 years.
When you accept analytics cookies, each page you visit sends a small record to our server containing your session ID, the page path, your IP address, your browser’s user agent string (e.g. browser name and version), and the referring URL (the page you arrived from, if any). We use this to understand which pages are being visited, where visitors come from, and to spot problems with the site.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also use HubSpot, a third-party CRM and marketing platform, to track the pages you visit on this site. Unlike our own analytics above, HubSpot can identify you as an individual where you have already given us your details through a form, letting us see which pages a known contact has viewed. How HubSpot handles your data, including international transfers, is described under Forms & enquiries below.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also use Hotjar (part of Contentsquare), a third-party behaviour-analytics tool, to record heatmaps (aggregated click and scroll patterns) and session replays (a playback of pointer movement, clicks and scrolling on the pages you visit). This helps us see where visitors get stuck so we can improve the site. Hotjar is set to mask text entered into forms, so details you type, such as your name and email, are not captured in recordings. Hotjar processes this data on servers in the European Union.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also load LinkedIn’s Insight Tag. This is an advertising tool: it measures the results of our LinkedIn ad campaigns and adds you to advertising audiences so we can show you Rivisio ads on LinkedIn (known as retargeting). Because LinkedIn is ultimately a US company (LinkedIn Ireland / Microsoft), your data may be transferred outside the UK; these transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK extension of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
If you accept analytics cookies, we also use Google Analytics (GA4) to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics is provided by Google, a US company, so your data may be transferred outside the UK; these transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK extension of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
HubSpot, Hotjar, LinkedIn and Google Analytics are the only third parties we share this data with. Our own server-side analytics is stored only on our systems and is not used to identify you.
If you reject analytics cookies, no session ID is created, your IP and user agent are not recorded, and none of HubSpot, Hotjar, LinkedIn or Google Analytics is loaded. A page visit gets logged, storing only date and time, page visited, and referrer.
Forms & enquiriesWhen you submit a form on this site, such as requesting access, booking a demo, or contacting us, we collect your full name and email address, along with any other information you choose to include. We use this to respond to your enquiry, manage your request, and, where you have agreed, to send you information about Rivisio.
These forms are provided by HubSpot, our customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing platform. The information you submit is stored and processed on HubSpot’s servers on our behalf, under a data processing agreement. HubSpot acts only as our processor and does not use your data for its own purposes.
International transfers. HubSpot is based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the UK. These transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and HubSpot is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, including the UK extension.
Retention. We keep enquiry and lead data for as long as needed to deal with your request and our relationship with you, and delete it on request.
Legal basisThe strictly necessary cookie is processed under legitimate interests. It exists solely to remember a choice you have already made.
Analytics processing is based on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by clicking “Manage cookies” in the footer of any page. If we add new analytics or marketing tools, or otherwise materially change how we use your data, we will ask for your consent again rather than relying on a choice you made earlier.
When you submit a form, processing your details to respond to your enquiry is based on our legitimate interests. Where we use those details to send you marketing, that is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Your rightsUnder UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@rivisio.com.
If you are unsatisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
